About Our School
The absence of exams throughout my Steiner education meant that I learnt subjects, theories, languages, and skills for the sake of the knowledge itself

Statement of the school's mission.
Our mission is to educate the whole child in a healthy and balanced manner, developing their physical, emotional and intellectual capacities through an age – appropriate, creative curriculum in an inclusive environment. We aim to support the spiritual, moral, social and cultural development of each child and provide them with the tools to successfully pursue their chosen path in life and play a positive role in the world’s future.
As a non-selective and non-denominational school, we celebrate children of all academic backgrounds and welcome those of every religion and of none.
Nestled on the border of Islington and Hackney, we provide our pupils with the opportunity to explore everything London has to offer, from the local Ridley Road Market, to walks on Hampstead Heath. Classes also regularly visit London's iconic museums and historical sights, such as the Tate Modern, the Maritime Museum, the Houses of Parliament, and the British Museum.
VALUES:
COMMUNITY. COMPASSION. CURIOSITY. RESPONSIBILITY.
ETHOS:
We are a welcoming school dedicated to holistic, child-centred education. Our creative and experiential “head, heart, hand” curriculum is delivered with artistry and care, embracing the belief that education is a journey, not a race. We celebrate diversity and cultivate reverence for self, others, and the environment in every aspect of school life.
VISION:
Our vision is to be an inclusive, forward thinking and outward facing school that provides an exceptional and continuously evolving Waldorf education grounded in principles of sustainability and biodiversity.
We will provide a beautiful and nurturing environment that meets the needs of every child. We will celebrate the heritage value of our building whilst improving facilities- particularly for the provision of science, craft, and outdoor learning which will be used for our students, families and the wider community.
We will foster a positive and inclusive culture that values and develops the contributions of all staff members, as well as encourage and support a pipeline of well-trained future Steiner-Waldorf teachers. We will establish clear leadership at all levels with the skills and knowledge to fulfil their responsibilities effectively.
